A nationally recognized producer, television and radio executive, Lou Pierce is the founder and President of Big Idea Company, which serves the Public Relations needs of organizations, companies and government organizations throughout the American Midwest.

As a writer and director of documentary films, commercials, corporate videos, broadcast news features, public relations campaigns and initiatives, Pierce has earned 22 Emmy Award nominations and 6 Emmy Awards.

His career in Public Relations began in college when he started working for the radio and television stations owned by The University of Notre Dame. Over the next 25 years he held positions in nearly every department and division of the company.

As a regular contributor to several NBC Television Network programs, including NBC News and The Today Show, his work was often shared and then broadcast by PBS, CNN and overseas news channels in the United Kingdom, Australia, South America and Israel.

Pierce has received more than 400 professional awards, including leadership awards for service to his community from the South Bend City Council and the Chamber of Commerce.

As a speaker, he has appeared several times at the annual Children’s Miracle Network convention, the national distributor’s conventions in San Francisco and Chicago and a host of local groups and organizations.
