Episode #217: Rob Ellinger - Ellinger Riggs

Rob Ellinger is the President and Co-Founder of Ellinger Riggs Insurance Agency, a rapidly growing independent insurance firm headquartered in Noblesville, Indiana. Born in Germany and raised across the United States in a military family—his father served in the U.S. Army for 23 years—Rob developed a deep appreciation for adaptability, integrity, and service from an early age.

Rob has spent 26 years in the insurance industry, beginning his career with American Family Insurance before moving to an independent agency and ultimately launching his own firm. Under his leadership, Ellinger Riggs Insurance has expanded from a single location in Noblesville to 11 offices, approaching $7 million in annual revenue. The agency provides a full suite of insurance solutions, including Home, Auto, Business, Farm, Life, and Health insurance. As an independent agency, ERI offers clients a broad selection of carriers and specialized niche products tailored to their unique needs.

Today, Rob focuses primarily on large, complex commercial accounts, where his expertise and consultative approach deliver significant value to business clients. Beyond ERI, Rob is also an investor and owner in several other ventures, including commercial real estate, a logistics company, and various B2C businesses.

Family is central to Rob’s life. He has been married to his wife, Erin, for 26 years, and together they have three children—Trey, Lauren, and Aubrey—and recently welcomed their first grandchild, Liam, born to Trey and his wife, Lindsey. Lauren and Aubrey both attend Hope College in Holland, Michigan, where they are student-athletes on the women’s soccer team. In his spare time, Rob enjoys spending time with his family on the lake, traveling with Erin, and watching his daughters compete.

Rob is also committed to giving back to his community and currently serves on the boards of Hoosier FC and the Indianapolis Opera.
